A commander has either a Positive, a Neutral or a Negative affinity towards each monster race.
A Positive affinity means monsters of that Race will receive a 10% bonus to Attack, Defense, Intelligence, Speed and Siege while in the commander's Unit.
A Neutral affinity means the commander does not affect the stats of monsters of that Race under their command.
A Negative affinity means monsters of that Race will receive a 10% penalty to Attack, Defense, Intelligence, Speed and Siege while in the commander's Unit.
An action they can perform in battle, similar to a monster Skill, which improves in power as the Commander's Level increases. Commands have one of three Types:
- ACTIVE Commands are attempted at the start of each battle Round, defending Commander first.
- PASSIVE Commands, just like PASSIVE monster Skills, are always active.
- START-UP Commands are attempted immediately before any monsters' START-UP skills are attempted, defending Commander first.
STRATEGY TIP: Hire commanders that work well with the Races, Skills and Range of new monsters you have obtained. This way you know for certain that they'll all be useful!
